id say this isn't even close to a new trend, you just hear about it much more.... I'd go as far to say it has most likely dropped drastically. shite back in the day it wasn't even looked at if someone left their kid in the car to run in the store. Now you will have video plastered all over the news of some idiot beating out your windows because you left your dog in the car to run in target for 5 minutes.

Back in the day people let people make their own decisions. Now everyone thinks they know what's best for everyone else. People need to tell people to 'frick off and mind your business' like our grandfathers did.
