I was in a very bad accident once. When I went to look at my car the seatbelt, which had been cut off of me by paramedics, was still buckled. I unbuckled it and kept it.

All for it. I don't want someone who gets seriously injured in an accident to cause my insurance to go up when there wouldn't be any injuries if they had worn their seat belt.

Once you have someone close to you die in a car accident, your view of wearing your seat belt may change quickly. It certainly did for me.

You're an idiot if you don't wear a seatbelt.

Just another case of government pretending to know what's best for the average citizen.

You're also probably the first person to run to an ambulance chaser lawyer after a wreck, right?

Personal choice. An adult should be able to make their own decisions that have no effect on others. Minors can't legally make their own decisions so require them to wear them.

I actually had a seat belt tear my right pectoral muscle in an accident last year.

I crunched the gears inside of the seatbelt. I don't advise it.

It does affect others via higher insurance rates we pay for your personal choice.

it should be personal freedom but low IQ conservatives will argue otherwise

one moment they are singing "let freedom ring" and the next they are telling us to wear seatbelts and go to jail for smoking weed

lol

I don't know why folks wouldn't want to wear a seat belt when they drive.
