Do you care if people do? Or do you do it yourself?
If you are an adult, do you care if kids are swearing in front of you? Example, in a restaurant sitting right by you.
as for me, I'm a part of the older generation and I think all of the above is rude. I don't understand why people have to say cuss words in every single sentence. Or why all good movies or albums anymore have to be filled with it. I know I will get Blasted for this because alot of posters on this board fits this category. ..... but where is respect for people around you?

I think the practice of designating swear words should end.
My stepdaughter recently scolded me for saying "crap" and "stupid". I mean, frick that noise.

Did you say:

"You're not my real daughter. You can't tell me what to do!"

I say something to them every single time and haven't had the first person to buck me.
They apologize.

I don't care, and I curse a LOT. I won't curse doing business unless someone else opens up the flood gates (I deal with a lot of tobacco and oil peoples... they see you as a drone until you drop a shite, damn, or frick.)

Usually I won't say anything, unless they are being loud and obnoxious while doing it. I mean if they pull a Jameis Winston, jump on the table and scream frick her in the pussy, yeah I'd probably ask them to simmah down naw.

As part of the older generation, I wonder why the frick you don't use proper grammar. That sentence looks like something a fricking eight year old could pop out with.

I always think it's trashy when parents of my patients cuss up a storm in front of the nurses and their kids. Many times they are loud with it and other families in other rooms can hear them. Just not necessary.

Hey, we all cuss at times...but really? No need to drop f bombs in casual conversation with the nurse caring for your sick child.

i agree with the dude ...

seriousness aside, i agree with the op ... people are linguistically lazy ... curse words are rude/crass and used too often ...

When I have a kid I'm gonna raise him in a plastic bubble. That way it'll never be exposed to anything negative. I want it to be sheltered from anything that could be interpreted as bad or different.

Don't trigger my bubble baby.

If I'm in public and its random then I say nothing. If we're in line at a grocery store it at a restaurant and can't get away. I'll very politely ask. If I think the person is just going to go off and make an even bigger deal about it. I'll just take a deep breath and try to move on. We all have seen the people blow up if asked to change how they act.

Everyone feels that way at first. You want to protect your kid from the outside world, it's only natural. But then you have one and they disappoint you and you just stop caring so much.

That's the thing man.. No one knows what respect is any more.. I'm 32 and was brought up to respect people...i straight up tell my kids in public in front of someone who is doing it, don't repeat the things you hear this person say. Sometimes they apologize and then sometimes they have this look of stupidity on their face like I insulted them.. I ask them to watch what they say, very nicely and most of the time the do what I ask... Again it comes with people not being taught what respect is anymore..
