These are proposed burial pods

quote:

Instead of being buried in a coffin;a body is placed into a biodegradable pod, and placed beneath a tree

quote:

Instead of a cemetery, a memorial forest is built (grown)

quote:

Forests will be grown with a variety of trees, and attract wildlife

quote:

Trees would take nutrients from the biodegrading pod for years to come

I'm okay with that concept, as long as I don't get chopped down and turned into construction paper for some kindergartner to glue to his forehead.

I'd want a shitload of bees to live up in my trunk and I'd require bi-weekly milkings because of all that maple syrup I would undoubtedly be producing

Upon the agreement of those two conditions, I'd be more than down.

Sounds like a good idea, until... The tree dies, dog starts pissing on it daily, or you sell the house.

Would actually be pretty cool until the tree died or something. Or was struck by lightening. Or a forest fire...

Cool idea. I'd be down for it, but I'll be dead so I'd rather my loved ones do whatever with my body that gives them the most comfort.
