You can also try cutting your grass while wielding a gun.

Just don't let a Dr prescribe you any depression meds if you ever want to own a gun or conceal carry. Won't be long they'll try to use that info to block ownership IMO.

Exercise.

Try medicine if it gets to where its messing with your daily routine.

Find new hobbys. Life is about trying new things so be open to whats out there. (Not talking about drugs)

Or workout three times a day and ask random women to lunch. That seems healthy.

Gym helps. Also reevaluate the people you spend time with. A good woman helps. Sunshine helps.

Stay away from these forums, especially the OT

Try reading some forums specifically for people with depression. There are too many here trying to inflate their e-peen to get many serious answers.

Depression sucks. One way I got out of it was trying new things (learning the piano).

Another thing that helped out a lot was reading this post on Reddit

It's really a great read and I make it a point to read it everyday (either when I wake up or whenever I arrive at work).

4 Rules
1. No more zero days
2. Understanding the 3 yous
3. Forgive yourself
4. Exercise and books

It's not easy. One day at a time. Create a to-do list each day or week with small goals and cross them off as your achieve them, then review at the end of the day/week to see what you accomplished. Realize the people you love love you back and they are there for you, put your pride aside.

Exercising helps also.

Biggest one that helped for me: PRAY, for strength, help and for what you are thankful for. That helps put things in perspective.
