My Stowa was ~$800, most Hamiltons are more than that.

It kind of looks like a generic classroom wall clock shrunken down.

I'm really looking into getting a vintage or vintage-style watch now, though.

I love the looks of a small vintage like this:

No, they aren't. Few are even $500, and those just barely cross that figure, which is pretty much a bargain for a proven movement and a classic design.

Same with Tissot.

The cheapest Stowas on the site are going to be in the $700, and the average is in the $900ish range. It's a different price class aside from the fact that the wait times drive people nuts.

For that price, Id save a few hundred bucks and just get a Skagen.

ETA: Skagen Ancher for $145. Its a very simple, clean, and thin watch. I have 2 Skagens and like them a lot.

versus

The first one is hundreds of dollars. The second one is $36 with a $20 distressed leather strap from Amazon.

C'mon, bro...Tell me what the difference in those timepieces is. Is there a difference that makes up for the hundreds of dollars in price differential?

That first one is 47mm, which is HUGE, the second is probably 36-38mm.
ETA: Hilariously big...

I didn't see they made a 41 Runwell, but yea, I'd assume that's the 47 or that dude as a twig arm.
