I know it sounds stupid, but for things like contractors, I like the layout of yellow pages versus whatever google gives me. Otherwise, yeah, it's pointless.

I find them useful. They have menus. If the power ever goes out, you have a backup.

I still use them to reach stuff on the refrigerator top shelf. Also if you line up six or seven of them, you can fire your 9mm inside the house.
