I always wondered why they teach this when 9 & 3 is actually the most correct way.

It's easy to do especially when driving with paddle shifters.

They also teach side mirror adjustment wrong. There is zero point to seeing the side of your own car in the side mirror. It fricking creates the blind spot.

I call BS on that for the fact I drive 10/12 daily and I almost always see the under 40 crowd of women on a phone with at least 1 hand.

ETA: 777 I just read your post after I posted my comment haha I think we notice the same crap.

Don't you sort of have to use both hands to make hard turns, kind of going hand over hand. Otherwise, I probably just let the other hand hang out at the bottom of the wheel ready to assist in hand over hand turning.

ETA: I guess 5 and 10 or 11 is about how I feel comfortable.

Once you stop texting like a teenage girl it's actually not as challenging as it looks.

Cruising along with one hand on the wheel, he may look detached. But he isn't. Psychologists say that the average male driver only relaxes like this because he considers his car as a part of himself.

It takes a female driver to understand that her car is a separate entity - which means she is more likely to grip the wheel with both hands.

4 and 8 is the new rule

That's why your radio controls are toward the bottom of the steering wheel

You sound like a crappy driver. Also, women are worse drivers bc they like to multitask and are also too emotional.
