So....how do you watch the show if you can't understand the language? Even the subtitles aren't in English

The best way to stop your kids from doing stuff like that is to act like you think it's awesome and get into it yourself. If you try to stop them they'll just go deeper.

Why do you care what other people are doing with their own time and money?

Is that why you tell your son you're into men? So he won't grow up to be a left hander too?

The only anime show I've watched on a regular basis was Speed Racer and that was back in the early '70s. I've seen some parts of some movies when flipping through channels but they were adult-oriented. My nephews like Dragon Ball Z but I've never spent any time watching it. Played a few games of DBZ with them, though.

Why the hell don't they stop that shite for the sake of their children? It's so cringe-worthy seeing these parents drop their kids off with Cat ears on their heads and Hot Topic t-shirts.

Preventing your kids from pursuing their interests ends poorly. Your kid will end up addicted to BBC just to spite you.

I hate anime but the Death Note series is pretty good.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is also awesome but I'm not sure it's even considered anime. I'd need a weaboo to explain it but I don't hang out with those folks.

I used to make fun of people that watched anime or read manga... Then I married an Asian. Compromise. I watch anime with her, she watches football with me.

In my younger gears (about 6th and 7th grade), I was close to this, but I grew out of it.

I am not a massive anime fan by any means, but I do have a Funimation subscription that doesn't get used much. I joined an anime club in college and know exactly the sort of weirdos you're talking about. I stopped going because most of the people there were complete dorks.

Story telling transcends language barriers.

JK I watch it with english subtitles on. Classic story... little wimpy kid who wanted nothing more than to be a hero and bring hope to those in distress is granted superpowers by the world's top hero.

Watch Avatar the Last Airbender for a good intro into anime that kind of bridges the culture gap. It's a 10/10 classic and is English.

Then move on to Full Metal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Kai, Hunter X Hunter, Attack on Titan, Bleach (stop after Aizen arc), etc. Naruto used to be the shite too.

If you want to piss off weebs say stuff like "no senpai! It's too big!" in a high pitched voice

I never really got into it besides the Toonami stuff here and there like Gundam and Full Metal Alchemist.

I've been reading the chapters of Goblin Slayer as they get translated though as it's what happens when a Japanese artist attempts to make D&D but read the FATAL rule set instead.

If that's gibberish to you it's a good thing. Never read FATAL or even a review of it.
