How do parents allow their kids to get into anime/ become weeaboos?

Why the hell don't they stop that shite for the sake of their children? It's so cringe-worthy seeing these parents drop their kids off with Cat ears on their heads and Hot Topic t-shirts.

They let their kids explore their own interests and it's not a harmful thing, I'd say it's more of a sign of good parenting rather than bad to be honest.

I started watching DBZ in college. I worked with an older black guy (mid 30s) who was also a fan. Its not just kids.

How the frick does OP know what a weeaboo is? I'd say 90% of normal people wouldn't know What it is and the other 10% may be normal people, but they're a weeaboo so that's how they know.

Anime is very hit or miss for me. Miyazaki has created some of the greatest movies of all time, but some other anime is largely too lazy or too fricking weird for me to get into it. I am very rarely indifferent to an anime that I've seen.
