How can people get away with smoking weed at a concert (Superdome)?

I went to the Beyonce/Jayz concert last night with my wife. As soon as the concert started and the lights went out, it seemed like at least someone on every row started to light up. I have nothing against weed or anyone who smokes it. Just keep away from me. Now there is security everywhere. Everytime a security guard came by my seat, I thought he was gonna bust the guy sitting next to me. Instead, he was busting chicks for standing in their seats. How can they not smell/see this? For the people smoking, why can't they not smoke for 2-3 hours out of consideration for other people.
FYI...I don't go to many concerts. This was actually my first real one.

Potheads do whatever the frick they want because they feel it SHOULD be legal, therefore their feeling trumps the law. I don't care if you smoke, either, but this mindset has always bothered me.
