Good call. Or the Abacos. Could get a VRBO there cheap and it is secluded. Would fit your budget and then some.

Where you going in HI?

A couple of days in Honolulu (pretty much just to see Pearl Harbor) then 6 nights in Maui.

Just got back from Turks and Caicos and it was incredible.

Seven Stars Resort was absolutely top notch, unreal food, very few children, unbelievable service, etc.

Cooper Island Beach Club

Stayed here for 4 days as part of an island hopping honeymoon. Don't know if I would want to do it for a week but plenty of options for diving or day sails from it. Food was great and included. Alcohol isn't but it wasn't that expensive.

You should go on a cruise and get an expensive room. You get to see a bunch of islands instead of just one, you can be as secluded or involved as you want, and it's as close to "all-inclusive" as you can get without being at one of those franchise resorts.

I'll take "White Trash Trailer Hicks" for 1000, Alex.

Price range is about 5k to 7k.

You can go about anywhere in the Carib for that.

We were at the Zoetry Agua in Punta Cana and that was very lovely.

After all the horror stories you hear about cruises(I've been on 2 Carnival cruises...that's enough for a lifetime ) this would be the only cruise I would consider going on now...

The fiancé and I are going to Excellence in Punta Cana for our honeymoon. Talked to several people who have been and they have raved about it.

Another thing you want to consider is what kind of honeymoon do you want. Do you just want to stay at the resort the whole time? Want to be able to safely leave the resort and explore the area? What kind of activities/excursions do you want to do? How many days do you want to be there?

Good luck in planning Tripadvisor website has always been a huge help to me when planning any trips. Check out reviews there of any place you are considering going to. And you can see REAL pictures of the place that guests have taken, not the professional pics the resort has up to make the resort look nicer than it really is.

I've been living on trip advisor... Any place mentioned in this thread I have looked up on trip advisor. I love the fact that you can see traveler photos.
