Nothing, not enough characters on this message board to type the problems in this country.

Nothing. The media has the idiots where they want them and it will continue to divide the weak minded. All they want is hate and it's working.

We are on the way to a devastating reckoning, unless their is a massive shift of collective consciousness. Last days of America as we know it otherwise.

Rank-and-file cops are going to have to step up to the plate and start calling out the sociopaths with a badge who have been busting heads and killing people with impunity for a long time. With cell phones everywhere they can't sweep it under the rug the way they did even ten years ago. The blue wall of silence has to come crashing down before things really change.

I don't condone the violence but I can understand the injustice and the feeling of powerlessness that give rise to people lashing out at the government. Hell, half the people on the Poli Board have expressed similar sentiments.

40 percent of cops killed are killed by black males, while they only make up 6 percent of the population

4 percent of all blacks shot and killed are done by Cops, blacks kill each other at a much higher rate

A cop is 18.5 times more likely to be shot and killed by a black vs a black being gunned down by cop

12 percent of whites shot and killed are done by cops

There wasn't social media in the 60s. Been like this for a while you just see it more because of the Intern

Bullfrickingshit. This is as weak an excuse as " everybody does it". The lack of respect for people, property, institutions, and the blatant disregard for morality and the law hasn't always been this rampant. You're glib response regarding social media is symptomatic of what's wrong and why so little of it seems to matter.

Thank you.

"Murder happened back in the 60's we just didn't have internet" is stupid as frick. You explained it well enough but people didn't make a sport out of knocking out old white people. Murder rates weren't close to what they are now. Even if you factor in population.

Do you have any kind of stat or metric to back that up? Genuinely curious.

In the late 60's the country was extremely divided, no? But there is no way that the country was even close to being as divided as it is now back then right?

It was much, much worse.

Yeah bc cops wake up everyday itching to shoot a mofo.

How about "blacks" stop playing the ultimate victim every single time something happens? When you cry wolf every time, it weakens your argument and nobody wants to hear it except you.

There are legitimate case of police violence and brutality but you can't make that claim EVERY time.

Exactly. Criminal behavior- by civilians, politicians, cops, you name it- wasn't as commonplace nor was it treated with this much indifference. The behavior we see so regularly today was scandalous and people reacted negatively to it. The selfishness and "me first" shite we see today want acceptable 20-30 years ago. Politicians may have been corrupt, but not to the detriment of the country. Disregard for human life was not as it is today.
So I bristle when those with no historical perspective dismiss the current political and social climates as the norm because they have 4chan or Redddit. This isn't fricking normal. It's an abomination.

Absolutely this.... it's like when certain players cry for a foul every time in bball.

Refs eventually stop falling for that shite, and make you earn your points.
