From January 1st to June 30th this year, I get 8 hours of holiday pay. Anyone get less than that? I feel like I'm the anti teacher when it comes to holiday pay.

What is your definition of holiday pay?

I get "x" amount of PTO, certain holidays off, and a floating holiday for Good Friday that I can take whenever (since we are open on Good Friday).

I don't get floating holidays. We get New Year's Day which fell on a Friday so they only gave us 4 hours and good Friday which they only give us 4 hours. Been at my current company for almost 4 years and get 112 hours of vacation time per year.

Where in the heck do you work where you don't get the standard holidays off?

That sounds shitty.

It's actually not a bad place to work. This is the second company I work for since I graduated. The other benefits are pretty good(401k match, hsa contributions). But they really lack in vacation/holiday pay. Burger King might get more holiday pay than me I guess. Lol

I get 24 hours during that time frame and I thought that was shitty.

On top of that, we get Black Friday, the full week from Dec 23 until the first Monday after New Years, Good Friday, Martin Luther King Day, 2 days for Mardi Gras... trying to think of other holidays but I can't think of anything else.

If you love where you work, then that's awesome.

But I can't imagine working somewhere where you didn't get any holidays off. (Unless you are a police officer, plant worker, etc..)

I get something like 10 paid holidays, plus PTO, 401k match. I don't have HSA at my current employer, but I can live with that. Still have my contributions from my former company on my HSA card that I can use.

I didn't say I loved where I work, hell I don't even love what I do but they pay me a lot which makes it harder to try and do something else. So I guess my thought has been confirmed. I have the worse holiday pay ever. Lol. Thanks.
