They are still hippies. They're just older now and live in the suburbs with a family.

You telling me if you had an opportunity.. Someone calls you up and says "hey I am going to burning man with a group of people, we have everything planned out. You want to come with me for one day" you wouldn't go just for the experience?

It would be the perfect place to trip.

A lot of this boards burning man takes would be correct if it was still the early 90’s. It’s mostly influencers and tech assholes now

Well, time to live the values of that last part. Also, do Californians ever not complain? It’s not raining, complain. It’s raining, complain.

Are these people who hate the cops? Cuz I’m curious who they want to come get them.

I went in 2002 and then again 2009. I am about as far from a hippy one could be. Completely different experiences within a 7 year span. While both times were fun, you could see the money start moving in on my last visit. I have kids an a family now, I can’t be hanging out in the desert micro dosing mushrooms anymore.

Their culture is defined by victimhood. When you realize that it's all par for the course.

i guess. there’d be a lot of other trips/locations/music genres I’d prefer in that scenario.
