Wife and friend of hers driving the 2.5 hrs to take the kids to their concert in Memphis Wed night. I think they would be groupies if could they like them so much. I don't care for it much but the kids could be listening to much worse.

They could also be listening to a hell of a lot better too. Introduce them to some Zeppelin for goodness sake.

Doesn't that probably cover a lot of celebrities? (honestly curious)

Well many of these bands formed from playing together at their church. That is how many of them met each other. They likely were part of the worship team for their church and decided to form a band.

They get more exposure if they go "mainstream" vs "Christian". Many feel their music will be heard by more if they don't box themselves into a "Christian" label.

Someone define a "real Christian" for me. 6,000 denominations claim to be real Christians. They can't all be right.

Don't confuse religionists with Christians. Pharisees were the religionists of their day, and if there's a common denominator to be had, they all tend to want to draw attention to themselves and their self righteousness in public places, to be recognized as such by men. I believe Christ Himself said that they already have their reward.

Yeah the people protesting do more harm to other Christians than good.

I think if Jesus was walking the earth today he would be not in the churches but in the streets and the bars. Not partying it up or anything, but looking for lost souls to love and save.

All religions are just manmade constructions based on ancient man's God concept at the time. All religions are based on a fundamental spiritual truth not owned by any religion. Your religion is simply a product of that geographical location on planet Earth where you were born. This seems so obvious but most of humanity just has a blind spot in seeing this.

You're exactly right Nurse. Religionists seek to enslave men. Christ seeks to free men from their bondage to man and sin.
