High school reunions: trashy or not?

My 10 year is coming up, most of my classmates failed in life so no way to make any good professional connections. Is it trashy to go if I have to fly? Did you enjoy yours?

It depends on how it’s set up. Mine have always been somewhere in New Orleans with a reception style setup. Just had my 20th this past weekend and it was classy as the frick.

I've never gone to any of mine but I don't think they are trashy. I only went to school with most of them for 11th and 12th grade.

It isn't trashy. You'll only enjoy it if there are people going that you want to catch up with that also want to catch up with you. There 2 I have been to have been underwhelming.

You're asking the OT, of course its trashy.
I went to mine and I found it interesting. Most people had not changed much at all. There were a few females who aged so much they looked like they were old teachers who had been invited. On the other end, there were a handful of girls who had "aged" surprisingly well. I mean girls who were lost in the crowd bland in school who turned out pretty damn hot, almost unrecognizable hot.

I skipped my 10-year.
I went to my 20-year a few weeks ago and had a much better time than I expected. The wife and I treated like a mini vacation and enjoyed a night out without the kid. We would not have gone if we had to fly though, but that really has nothing to do with the trashiness level.

interesting choice to marry a woman 25 years older than you.
I haven't been to any, my 25th was last year. I didn't go, nor did any of my friends from HS go. Maybe I will go to 50.

Mine was terrible. Everyone was either drunk as frick, stoned as frick, or coked up as frick. This is coming from a catholic school reunion..
