$39.98 v. $56.95

Is Take 5 doing something worth the extra money? Obviously doesn't take 5 minutes anymore hence the name change a few years ago.

Yes, they're ripping you off for the extra money.

Walmart oil is not the same as you get at other places. Tires are not as good either.

Take 5 rarely takes more than 10 minutes. At least the one on Coursey in BR.

You could say the same about Take 5.

Wal-mart in general has horrible employees, but the guys in their vehicle service department are actually more skilled than most Take 5 people. They can at least change oil, tires and do alignments.

At Take 5, they're all rejects who can basically just change oil. I mean, it's not like they went to a trade school to learn how to change oil, replace oil filters and act like they're checking liquids.

What proof do you have that Walmart grease monkeys are better than Take 5 grease monkeys

I've actually been impressed with the walmart vehicle service people. One white dude at my local walmart is opinionated AF but he takes his job seriously---a lot more seriously than I would if I worked at Walmart.

Or people that designate their time to other things.

I could, and have, changed my oil no problem. Sorry you're mad. I'd address what's really got you upset.

Fck that. Me and everyone I known do well enough in life that we pay people to do it.
I get it done for $25 or so and I really can't say I would save more than $2 or $3 if I did it myself.
My time is worth more than that.

O your paying for convenience. Wanna be in as out in 10 minutes? The quick lube is your choice. Wanna walk around Walmart for 2 hours while they change your oil? Go to Walmart.

Also, the point made above about Walmart having shite tires and shite oil is true. The tires can even look identical to ones at an authorized (brand name here) dealer but the are not the same. Different compounds in the tires. Oil is the same way. Unless you pay extra or brig your own , you're getting shite mottos oil at Walmart.

Firestone is maybe a little more than WM and you receive much better service. I went to a quick oil change place that mentioned my serpentine belt needed to be changed. I was dumb and let them change it. The damn thing came off a few hours later. The manager tried to claim someone had vandalized my belt....WTF?! The guy at Siegen Car Care said the belt was cut perfectly by the pulley because they didn't put the belt on right. I have stayed away from those quick changes places ever since.

if youre going to pay someone else to do it, pay the $70 and get it done at the dealership. Be cheap or be lazy, don't be both.

If you are in BR, Dip Stix on Jones Creek is a good locally owned quick lube place. The owners are the ones that work on your vehicle.

I used to do this, when I was poor.

I'm sorry your ship hasn't come in yet.
