SPEEDY, if you had to bet on it right now, who is the chief come 2018?
Posted on 8/31/17 at 5:57 pm to LSUTigerFan247
Lot of applicants.. I don't see how a former college cop could seriously be the chief of the BRPD

Based on what I have seen so far, Sliky Slim

What would be a decent score? Is that percentage scores?

Mark Kraus from LCPD would make an excellent BRPD Chief! No nonsense, tough-nosed, articulate, intelligent guy with many years of experience being second in command in LC.

Yeah, but just look at him, bro. He's not qualified to work for SWB. Who gives a shite if he's a well-liked and experienced cop?

So only 7 real applicants?
SWB will NOT hire a white Chief.

In all fairness, y'all picked a guy LSP ran off into retirement.

I went to high school with Jeremy Kent. Really good guy. His grandparents own The Kitchen restaurant in Monroe. I'd think he's a little young for police chief though at 38-39.

He wasn't retired when he was hired. He was still in a command position with LSP

LSP didn't push him too far. I saw him back on the job with them this summer after Reeves was sworn in.
Not sure what capacity he works in now.
