If you won't provide a pic give us a ranking.

Uptown on the river side of St. Charles, between there and magazine st. from Jackson Ave. to the park are all good areas

This is a good area, and there are also private security patrols around most of this area that drive around 24/7 and will come watch you get out of your car if you call them when you get home.

Lakeview would also be an option, more of a suburb feel though. Then there's Metairie which is cheaper than the other two, but doesn't have the same amenities.

Should probably move the red line up to Magazine once you get to the Garden district.

A few years ago the Creeks also had some program where they offered a discount to certain medical professionals.

Almost moved into Clearwater Creek about 4 years ago but they had a shooting the night before I would have signed my lease. I then said frick that.

Lucked into a place near the park and couldn't have been happier.

Good thing that guy got shot and saved me from living in Elmwood.

Corey Morton, 27, had been shot multiple times, apparently inside a third-floor apartment of the Citrus Creek complex, not far from the Elmwood Shopping Center and the AMC Elmwood Palace cinemaplex.

For what she can afford I would think Warehouse district is out. Uptown will be difficult because of price and demand, plus it is not
the most convenient area. Lakeview and the Bayou St John area would probably be her best bet for combination of safety, price and convenience. And there there is always Metaire between Causeway and 17th street canal

Ooops. I thought Citrus was safer than Clearwater anyhow...I know it's pricier.

I lived in Chestnut Creek when I first moved down here over 5 years ago. I never had any problems out there.

LesterEarl - I didn't say it was unsafe. I just posted an article.
