Got the green light on my bike, I couldn't clip in the first time. As I was halfway through the intersection, a car whizzed past me going 50mph with its driver staring at her phone texting through her red light.

Got hit (on foot) by a Suburban XL going about 30-35. Elbow went through the windshield. Put a softball sized hole in it. Flew about 15 ft on a sidewalk. Bounced up, looked at my arm and saw some bone, immediately started going into shock and was fading. No broken bones, but wicked nice scar on my forearm from 18 sutures and about 40 stitches.
Moral of the story...don't run in the streets on Halloween night at ECU.

15 years old deer hunting, bullet got jammed in my lever action 30/30... Couldn't get the bullet out and was hunting by myself... Bright idea to kick the lever down, when I kicked it the bullet discharged passed my face... I don't know how close I was to dying that day, but since then I'm one of the safest hunters you'll ever meet...

Tried to jump a three wheeler across Bayou Teche when I was a kid. Me and my brother were on the bike and obviously didn't make it across. The bike landed one top of us and pushed us down into water while knocking our breath out. We both made it to the surface but it felt like an eternity under water.

Took a trip from wisky to tex, 18 yrs old, drove strait through. About 100 miles from my destination I got sleepy. Woke up going 55mph in a wheat field, I had missed the electric poles. I got back on the highway and pulled over, popped the hood, so much wheat

I was in a real bad car accident on my 17th birthday. I was driving to go rent that Britney Spears movie and some guy ran a stop sign going 45. Car flipped a few times and then caught on fire. Neighbors that saw it helped me out before fire department and ems got on scene

Centered a tree in a VW Bug. No seatbelt on. Smashed out the windshield with my head, ripped my nose in two and suffered fractured ribs with internal bleeding, concussion and a broken ankle.
That's about as close as I've knowingly come. I was 13 years old and had stolen my sister's car for a joy ride.

Hit by a drunk driver going 100 mph...walked away.
Guy tripping on acid pointed a gun at me and had a machete in his other hand...being drunk I told him if he shot me he better kill me...still here

Had a one hour delay on way to hunting camp on Christmas two years ago . Tornado hit our mobile home 30 minutes before I got there . Would have died for sure ...

During a saint game me and my cousins were bbq and it was raining that day. The streets started to flood a little and is being the dumbasses we are played in the rain. After about 5 mins of we walked back up to the grill under the porch and no less than 5 seconds later lighting struck where we were just standing. It sounded like a bomb went off with a huge flash of light. I have also been shot at and robbed and the guy put the gun to my head and was trying to cock it back but the gun was jammed and he let me go.

I was prepped for a 30 minute appendectomy at age 43. 4 hours later, surgeon walked into waiting room and told my wife she almost a widow. Appendix had ruptured, rotted and scarred.
