Yes. The most recent one was this guy that always comes around a bar I frequent. Walks up with a pen and paper and scribbles shite pretending to be deaf. I got him to turn around by saying, "Hey man, here's 20 bucks". Flipped him the bird and went in the bar instead

In Lafayette we have a few at the corner of Ambassador/Kaliste Saloom. They alternate and always manage to have a piece of cardboard. Will never give those hacks cash.

In Los Angeles International airport but all of them are scammers there so it's like shooting fish in a barrel. The usual shite...fake deaf guy, a"monk", a "preist" and the feed the African children guy. I was last through that airport 12 years ago and heard they've run a lot of the pan handlers off in the years since.
There is a well-known lady who was seen hanging around highway 190 at Walmart in Covington and sometimes on 21 near Target. Word spread about her and I haven't seen her in awhile.

Plenty because I worked in a downtown financial district for over 7 years.
Quite the opposite story, I had a panhandler track me down. I had/have zero policy about giving money to panhandlers. I will buy them things (lunch, clothes, umbrellas, etc) if they go with me.
One guy haggled me every day as I walked to lunch. He kept telling me the job market was bad and he was down on his luck. I bought him lunch a couple times and stopped that as I felt like he would target me. Finally I just started buying him a newspaper. I would read it at lunch and then give it to him after pointing out the help wanted ads. Of course it was a bit of sarcasm and he started avoiding me and my newspaper. A fewi months later I saw him in a van with a ladder rack as I walked to lunch. He purposely sought me out and damn near stalked me. He followed me, confronted me, and bought ME lunch. He thanked me for never giving him cash because he was using it for drugs. He found a painting job from help wanteds I kept showing him. He met me for lunch downtown several times after. He was living 2 weeks in a motel, 2 weeks in the van every month the last time I saw him. He was dating a woman who had a house and wanted him to move in with her to get off the streets. He wouldnt do it because he was raised where men didnt live with a woman without being married. He was a real stand up guy and I hope he is doing ok.

I saw someone roll down their window at the red light and hand one a candy bar. He threw it on the ground after the light turned green.

Yep, busted one in Lafayette who has the same bullshite story every time, but every time I've seen him, he is in nice clothes and a different car. "Me and my little girl drove here from Baton Rouge to go to the hospital", blah blah blah. Called him out on it when he used it on me for the 3rd time and he fricked right off.

Well fast forward a year , me and my son see him outside a restaurant trying the story with some young ladies. We called him on it, little shite took off like a bat out of hell

He walked up to our parade tailgate at St. Patrick's Day two or three years ago and one of the guys had his wallet out digging for money when I saw him. I hurried over and said "Hey, it's the Pop A Lock guy from TigerDroppings!" He tried to deny it for a minute then said "frick the OT" and stormed off. It was hilarious.

Was given he old "please pull up while we finish your order" routine at the Jack In the Box north of campus. Guy comes up and says, "God bless you, we are all God's children and I'm just looking for some help to get smething to eat, do you have any change". I kindly tell him I don't have any money on me, I'm sorry. He says "frick you!", and walks away. He was not the godly man he pretended to be.........busted!

Yes. Had a man approach me in the walmart on Seigen asking for money. Had some excuse about his aunt dying, etc. I stopped him and told him no thanks, and he gave me this really condescending response. In the freakin store.
Walked away to continue getting what I needed and overheard him telling some lady a completely different story this time about his sister. I interjected and asked "Wait a min chief, a minute ago it was your aunt, now its your sister?" The lady kinda gave me that "thank you" look and walked away. Jackass had no response.
I had a guy pull up to the gas pump next to mine at the Race Trac over on Seigen recently in a fairly new F-150 and ask if I had some change for gas. I mean, he was driving a nicer truck than I was. How fricking bold do you have to be to roll up to a gas station in a $40K vehicle and ask people for gas money?

Me and one of my workers were changing a tire in the Home Depot parking lot in the middle of December in the rain. Some fat "Democrat" drove up in a fairly nice Nissan Titan and asked for $200 to buy tires to make it back home to NOLA to see her dying mom one last time in the hospital. I told her I would give her $200 to get out and change my tire for me. She cursed me out and drove off. There wasn't a thing wrong with her tires.

In college, I had a girl walk up to me at the gas pump and ask for gas money. Says she ran out of gas in her car and they had to push it the last half mile or so. I recognized her as a friends older sister who had gotten into drugs and was bad off. Gave her a 5 and said, "Hope that gets you home." Without pumping gas, she hops in the car and takes off. I wrote it off at first. On my way home, I pass another gas station and there she is probably giving someone else the sob story. I pull in next to the pump she's standing near, roll the window down and just said her name out loud. She turns sees me with my hand out. Knowing I had won that battle, she walked over and put the $5 in my hand. I said I was trying to help you, but never again. You need to get your shite together. Luckily a year or two later I ran into my friend (her little sister) and she said she had went to rehab and got clean.

All over in downtown Houston. It's always funny when suburbanites are down here for a game or something and you see a career homeless guy with his papers out telling them his 30 minute long story. It's amazing people will sit there and listen to this bullshite for that long.
