Have panhandlers hit a new low in Baton Rouge?

just passed by the westbound college drive offramp and saw what looked to be a middle aged white male with what looked to be a 8-10 year old little girl asking for money on the side of the road. Having two little girls my self, this doest make me want to give him money, this makes me want to slap him for not going and getting his arse a real job, and endangering that poor little girls life on the side of an I10 off ramp. what a douche.

There's a family that goes there to collect money. It might be them.
Was at Hooters a few months ago and saw them walk to a car in the parking lot and drive off. It was a decent looking Toyota.

i work off college, and see people there all the time, but this was the first child ive seen there .

It's been a while but there used to be a chubby white gal that panhandled on the media at College/Corporate. One day she had her baby with her.

Can hardly go to the gas station in Baton Rouge without getting solicited for money. I'm to the point now where I'm immediately pissed off when these people approach me.

They are really getting bad in the area. I suspect the Valley is supplying heroin and the rest of the neighborhood is wealthy enough to give these people money.

Yeah, if I see anyone loitering anywhere near the pumps then I keep going to a different gas station.

Wouldn't be surprised if the little girl isn't even his child so yes, I'd call the police.

A few years ago I was by the Sams off Siegen and I watched a Latino family get out of their car with signs and walk to the corner. Man, woman, son and daughter around 5 and 7 years old.

Yep, cigarettes are always the fall back. Had a guy tell me I could go withdraw money out the ATM and give it to him then. Yeah, let me get right on that for you buddy. These assholes have some audacity.

Dude only one child???
Over here on the NW side of San Antonio, we have a serial panhandling family. They go to the strip mall of Target/HEB/Lowe's etc and hit the 4 or 5 different entrances/exits all day long. Sign reads dad's out of work, anything helps for food.
It's Dad, Mom, A child that looks 12, another that looks 6-7 another that look 3ish and a baby. Plus they bring the cooler and chairs out daily cause you know, this is their regular job. Been out there for like the last month. It's sickening. CHILDREN holding up need food money signs...

Same. I accidentally rolled my eyes at someone the other day asking for a quarter at the tire air pump because I hadn't looked at him yet and assumed it was a panhandler.
Turns out it was just a normal dude who had $1.25 in quarters and it requires $1.50. I felt like an arse.

Had a panhandler at College and Bennington come up to my window and knock. I went into my console and gave him 2 quarters. Dude was furious, threw it back into my car, and told me it wasn't enough.
I had no idea modern panhandlers have minimum limits set.

i pulled into the valero in alberstons parking lot yesterday. As i approached the pumps, I noticed a no teeth\no hair old black woman walking towards Valero.
As she gets closer, she is talking to herself. She then asks for money and i said, I only have a card. She goes up to the window, and then looks back at my car as me the SO were looking at her... she starts yelling and trying to spit on my car.
Never had that happen before
