About the only place where AI are really nice are in Bora Bora, Maldives etc.

For the caribbean islands AI isnt worth it. I would prefer a cruise or going on my own due to most of the AI being on islands that put you either in Nassau,Punta Cana,Mexico or Jamaica with St Lucia and Antigua being outliers which also cost a lot to fly to. A Southen Caribbean cruise with Disney would be my optimal choice (but I have small child too)

Many of those islands I want nothing to do with the people that live there. Just want to see their beaches try the local food and get out. So a cruise appeals more to me. After that I choose to fly and stay and rent a cabin or house. USVI and BVI dont have any AI resorts that I know of which is my first choice to fly and stay.

you've paid that extra $200-$400 you saved.

Was this a per night estimate?? You save a whole hell of a lot more than 400 max for a week by not going with Sandals. BTW many cruise lines now offer all you can drink packages now as well. Disney will let you bring on board your own booze (as well as let you get off the ship and bring on more at ports) so factor that in.

Well, my cruise ship advice is this: If you do RC or Celeb the Evening dinners are the same thing you get at the on board restaurants you pay for. They just rotate the menu's items. Paying for dinner on a cruise is a huge fail.

Im not sure about Celeb but I know this isnt true for Disney,RCCL,NCL and Carnival. I have never seen the same item served in the main dining room as a surcharge restaurant on any of those lines. Hell if Im on a Carnival ship the Steakhouse would be my choice to dine in every night. Its certainly better than any steak you will get at a Sullivans on shore.

Oh and tell your future wife not to do the shopping tour. My wife loves to freakin shop and she hated this. Plus, everything we saw on the "shopping extravaganza" or what ever they called it, we found with individuals on the other tours for cheaper. Drink a few extra Petons for me

Whenever yall get back, shoot me an e-mail (if you can remember) with some of the stuff you did and how you liked it. I think I read you are staying at La Toc, which is the one we will be at in June.

Went to the one in the Bahamas. Didn't like it.

I mean, the all you can drink alcohol was fun, but you have to be very specific with what you want and how you want the drink made. They'll give you a splash of the cheap stuff if you don't say you want 2 oz of this or that.

Food was good. Breakfast at Spices was the best food there. They had a French restaurant too that was good, but you have to get reservations upon your arrival.

Wasn't worth the money though. Not much to do. Some fun and games around, but the beach was pathetic. Had a lot of sex though so that was fun.

The cheapest room at the Antigua Sandals was $500 per night. I can get a nice room and eat and drink plenty for $500 per day for 2 people...

We didn't hike it, but we took the Joe's Knows boat tour around it, called it the "Dolly Parton of St. Lucia"

Our bartender poured nice drinks. We tipped him well (for Jamaica)

Best service ever.
