The worst are the wedding hashtags chicks have been using which usually hinge on some terrible pun of the bride or groom's last name. Turrible.

I actually think that's one of the few times they are used properly. It's a way to aggregate pictures from an event from multiple sources with little to no effort.
The annoying hashtags are the ones people use to speak whole sentences. If you're using hashtags as adjectives or verbs, you're doing it wrong.
