And if so were you home at the time? What did you do? Just curious

No. Big dogs prevent such things.

Moved as soon as the lease was up.

Yep. Apparently I interrupted them. Must have disappeared over the back fence as I was pulling in the driveway.

Yes.
No I wasn't home.
What did I do?
I stayed at the LSU Florida football game when I got the phone call telling me about the break-in. I figured they'd already stolen what they were going to steal and they weren't going to steal an LSU football game from me.

Nope. But my car has been broken into and it had over $100K worth of medical equipment in it at the time. The thief took some CD's and a few business cards. Thanks, Little Rock!

They ran out the front door as we were pulling into the garage. Nothing got stolen so they must have only been in for a few minutes. Crawled through the kitchen window

My current home has not.

The house I grew up in was broken in twice.

The first time we were on vacation and the guy was very methodical about what he stole.

The second time was a smash and grab around dinner time when my dad left to pick my brother and I up from practice.

Both happened within a year and my parents got an alarm system.

Yes.

I was in Atlanta at the Auburn/Clemson game a few years ago.

Not much was taken but the house was heavily vandalized. I always knew it was my ex-wife or some of her friends but could never prove it and the cops didn't really do shite about it.

Sold the house about a year after that.

My only break in story was someone stole textbooks and my PS2 out of my dorm in Neilson at La Tech.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you live in the southern United States, you're an absolute idiot to not have a monitored Alarm on your house.

They deter and they scare people off. How stupid do you have to be to not have one?

One time my vehicle was parked elsewhere, my ex's brother (convicted of prior theft), thought he was going to come in and take something he thought was here, he didn't know I was home.

Heard my window in my middle bedroom being broken, got up, grabbed a 12 gauge, opened the door and hit the lights..saw arms quickly pull back through the window. I fired 5 shots into the window, was broken anyways. Was some blood on the carpet, but may have been from the glass.

He had connections in lake charles, and apparently he moved there that night. He got picked up for felony parole violations, and it seems he will be in for a while. Dude was a POS who stole, and sold his own grandparent's wedding jewelry for meth.

No

Once i saw the door was open, i went back to my car, grabbed my shotgun and went in for blood. unfortunately they were not there. called the police, waited outside until they arrived. went through and gave them a report of what was missing.

thankfully they were idiots, but they did get my old 22 my grandpa passed to me. if i ever find out who did it i cannot say what i would do because it might incriminate me.

An ADT sign or a sign from any alarm company in your yard works just as well and it's a whole lot cheaper.

yes. Asian guy came in a window.
I was in the living room listening to music, nearly asleep.

I saw a shadow on the wall.

When he walked into the living room, I stood and challenged him.
I was in my early 30's, fit from playing tennis. He was thin.

Dumb, I know. He turned and went back out the window.

Called 911.

end of story.
