Go to Detroit. Cross the eight mile road heading south. You could ask 100 people what destroyed the city. Every single one will say drugs.

Why would I listen to them? They're on drugs

That's not the problem they have

It's one of them. Ironically it's not the scourge of drugs, it's the scourge of the drug war that's destroyed many black communities.

Black men leave their babies at birth (a majority, not all),

Last I heard, 74% of black babies are born to single mothers. To me that is astounding, and the destruction of the black family is the root of their problems.

Eta: the incarceration rate among boys from fatherless homes are almost identical regardless of their race. no link for that trust me though

Yeah the decline of the auto industry didn't have anything to do with it

I know there aren't a lot of "Reason" or "Cato" fans on the OT, but the argument is rational and correct.

The auto industry in the South seems to be booming. I talk to several of them every week.

Obama has done jack shite about race in the country.

If anything we are more racially divided in this country then we were before he took office.

It all goes back to Lyndon Johnson's Great Society.

Johnson knew EXACTLY what he was doing. It was all an attempt to keep those "N*****s voting Democrat for the next 250 years."

He's made an entire race of people completely dependent on government. Add the complicity of Teachers Unions keeping them uneducated and ignorant, and it all fulfills Johnson's (and the Democrat's) goals.

It's funny how only people who do drugs say this.
