quote:

“The real problem with race in America is a very, very beaten-down, pathetic, self-defeating black underclass that is—uh, just can’t seem to get its way going in the way that blacks were able to before the scourge of drugs and the scourge of gangs,”
quote:

“Blacks were on their way in this country, even after the horrors of slavery, and then drugs came in, the destruction of families came in,
quote:

“And that, it seems to me, is something that Mr. Obama could have addressed, and he just ignored it completely.”

Well he's not wrong. It's happening to whites, Hispanics and Native Americans too.

Blacks are worst off under Obama, they just refuse to see it.

All true. Black men leave their babies at birth (a majority, not all), which sends their young males looking for that relationship any way they can find it. The gang and drug cultural is usually where they find it. It is a issue everyone is scared to address.

Somebody's getting banned in this bitch.

I think all individuals, regardless of race, who don't like their lot in life tend to have the attitude that someone should fix it for them instead of starting the process on their own

Go to Detroit. Cross the eight mile road heading south. You could ask 100 people what destroyed the city. Every single one will say drugs.

Every, Single. One.

He's probably guilty of generalizing and oversimplification but the attitude he speaks of certainly exists in segments of AA culture.

You could replace Obama's name with any President in the modern era and the final statement would be equally true.

So much win being overlooked here.
