I will be moving within the next month or so and am probably going to use a pod to move instead of a UHAUL truck like I normally have done when I move

How does it work. How long do I have to fill it up. Do they just drop it off, I fill it up, and then call them to come pick it up and ship it off to my destination?

It's decidedly more expensive than just driving it over yourself.

I am moving from Seattle to Houston

I got a quote for $1200 for a pod to move from Seattle to Houston. I would then drive my car separately.

You're leaving Seattle? Your friendly Hispanic and homeless neighbors are going to miss you.

You might as well get a legit moving company and service for that price.

We used largest pod that was available to move some furniture while installed wood flooring - it didn't hold more than 2 rooms

Moving companies are ridiculously expensive.

Best quote i got a few years ago for a 3/2 house was $5000.

I used upack, similar to pods, $1900 total.

Plus paid a couple guys $300 to help me load it, unloaded myself with family

I have a tiny apartment

Not much stuff

I dont even need movers to help me move it out.

Are moving companies only local or do they do cross country moves like I am about to do.

I would just pay a long haul company to move it. They stick all your stuff on a big trailer with one other persons stuff, stop at whichever location comes first, move it in themselves, then keep moving

Nvm, I forget you live in a studio apartment

Actually, it may be worth it if you don't have a lot of stuff, which has to be the case if you got that quote.

For sure autistic but doesn't have any people that will help him load it. When I moved from oxford to Houston, I didn't realize my building didn't have an elevator. Found three Mexicans on the same block and gave them each 100 to help out. They had the trailer unloaded in less than 30 min carrying everything up three flights. I have serious respect for hispanics, they work hard
