If you're in the Baton Rouge area, good luck in finding one available. Flood victims used them all up. PODS is really convenient. Load it at your own leisure. Ships to wherever whenever. I've used them a few times. Definitely recommend.

Serious advice - thoroughly inspect the pod for spiders like brown recluse. No telling where the pod you are using was last used.

Just a few spiders in your boxes can lead to total infestation in your new home.

Take it from Someone who had a full recluse infestation and be extra careful.

Found three Mexicans on the same block and gave them each 100 to help out. They had the trailer unloaded in less than 30 min carrying everything up three flights. I have serious respect for hispanics, they work hard

Was gonna suggest this. Last time I moved I picked up a couple Mexicans and for a bill each they unloaded my three bedroom household in 4 or 5 hours. It was actually pretty amazing.

Considering the only part there is of Houston is the 'shitty' one, I'd assume there.

Good to see you're coming back to the mother land Nugget.

I used them and would recommend. We had a temporary move as we sold our old house before the new one was built, so I needed to store things for a bit. The upside for me is I am the only male in a house of 6, so I had them drop it off 3 weeks early and I moved things as we boxed them and at a nice pace. It made for a really easy experience compared to our first move.
2 suggestions
1. inspect for spiders like suggested or even spray just in case
2. go to Home Depot and get de-humidifying stuff for the POD. Mold is a bigger concern than spiders, but if the time stored isn't that long it wont be a huge deal
