I have a friend who was sent there for DUI. I don't remember him talking about anything other than getting strip searched when he got there. That seemed to be the part that messed with him the most.

Lol no, I'm not about to go to OPP, I don't even live in New Orleans!! I'm just curious about what it's really like there, based on all the things I've heard and read about it, it sounds like the worst place someone could end up. Just wanted to get some true life stories.

I have a friend that was transferred back and forth between Orleans and EBR. He preferred Orleans.

I haven't.
But my brother went there once...the night before the 2003 season national championship game. He made the mistake of telling the cops he had a ticket to the game - so of course they just had to hold him until the next night, midway through the 4th quarter. They had the game on in the jail - but they released him in the 4th quarter so he wouldn't be able to see the end.

That's normal if you're in overnight and put in the 'prison orange' so to speak. Happened to me too at ebr prison for being there 15 hours tops. It's humbling as frick when they make you strip and bend over and get disinfectant sprayed all over your taint and body.

Spent the night there the Sunday before Mardi Gras about 5 years ago. Stuck in a holding cell with about 50-60 other dudes. fricking awful. Had to witness multiple people taking shits since the toilet was right there. Also watched some dudes smoke a joint. Not sure how they got it in there. I was fricking strip searched. The sandwich u people speak of was some purple looking Bologna on white bread. No way I was eating that shite. Terrible time. Makes for an interesting story though
