Has anyone here ever been to OPP (Orleans Parish Prison)?

I've always heard that OPP is one of the worst prisons in America, with horrible conditions and a notorious history. Has anyone here ever visited or been an inmate of OPP? What is it really like over there? What were the conditions like based on your experience?

When I was in my early 20's, I spent 30 hours there for PI.
It was absolutely awful in so many ways. I even had to wear the orange jump suit. Awful. Affected me personally for a long time. For many years after that, I kept a polaroid of my mugshot on my desk as a reminder.
