I got hooked up with Prime for the first year through AMEX. I have to pay for it now, but they offered me something else. I don't remember if it was prime+ or what. I can get a lot of things shipped same or next day for free.

Amazon has great customer service in my experience. Just Google the number and give 'em a call.

ETA: Got clarification. The "offer" was them informing me that free same-day and next-day delivery had expanded to my market (DC metro area). It expanded to DC earlier this year. I assumed it was some upgrayyedd.

Apparently it's in a total of 16 major metro areas now.

Well, I found the "Live Chat" button buried under a few pages, but the agent was great. She told me to keep the extra 11 items. The catalog price is $10 bucks each, so it's not a HUGE loss.

Anybody want a copy of Hanabi the Card Game?

Yup, I needed something for a trip a while back and ordered it a week and a half before. It was only $17 + shipping, but it didn't get there on time. Amazon refunded the shipping, and then have me a credit worth $25

They have some nice guys over there

Actually, no. I've placed probably over 200 orders through Amazon and have never had a reason to. I've never really sat back and thought about that, but damn, that's pretty fricking awesome.

What'd I tell you. In the future, assuming you aren't dealing with a great company like Amazon, always check out "gethuman.com." I'll be as delicate as possible in saying it'll typically take you at least a few rungs above the South Asian or Hispanic call center drones designed to frustrate the shite out of customers so that they give up. It will always list the best number, e-mail, etc. You'll typically get an American on your first shot and in 80% of the times I've called (mainly for overstock, Sears, and Best Buy) you go straight to corporate "customer relations." Never had an issue go unresolved after just a couple of calls.

My rule of thumb. Once you get a white girl on the line, you're golden. If you get a white dude, you might actually come out ahead.

Thanks for your help, Navytiger.

Seemed wrong to keep all these without saying something.

Got fed up with the one-sided administration of that board.
