Has anyone ever posted about someone on here and been "caught" by said person?

I see threads about people discussing situations with neighbors, coworkers, etc. Has anyone ever been caught, say if the person they are discussing posts on here and figures it out?

No, but I have had posters who know me irl link my posts about specific people (generally my SO) to facebook in order to get me caught

Thankfully, I edited that shite with the quickness

At work, I sat across from this dude one time and he was always on TD, and so was I. I watched him post something one day and looked at the board to see what was new. I figured out his TD handle and was able to see the moronic stuff he would post. For all I know he could have done the same to me.

I always change minor details like saying "wife" instead of "prisoner" or "spa" instead of "attic".

Kinda,

Wife read some of my posts about other things and said it was not nice. I told her I can get it out of my system on message boards and online games.

Every now and then you'll see people asking for a name change bc their wife and/or GF found out their screen name.

If you don't post any different than your normally act, it shouldn't be a problem.

I did on another message board about 7 years ago.

I started a thread complaining about an ex gf and copy/pasted the facebook chat stream in the op of the thread.

well, i changed her name from ______ to "her" but i left in the embedded link to her profile when they clicked on it.

by the time i realized what i did wrong, the whole thread was mentioning her name and posting pictures from her FB account.

about 3 or so months later, she googles her name to see what shows up (for job interviewing puropses she told me) and the thread popped up and the comment it brought her to said "________ has nuice boobs" which was accompanied by a picture of her in a bikini.

my handle on that message board made it pretty obvious for her to know that i started the thread.

she called me screaming and crying.

i felt like a huge dick.

I was caught posting a pic of a chick I banged in a thread called "post a pic of the hottest chick you ever banged"
She sent me a pretty nice FB message conveying her feelings about it.

yes. I felt horrible. I got called out for validating a rumor. Will never say a bad thing about someone IRL again.

My roommates are pieces of shite.

All my married friends are pussy whipped.

And I know a kid that sucks at organizing events.

They'll never figure that out
