For me, it is his wife. It must suck to find out, post mortem, that a big chunk of your life was a lie. The fault rests solely on the deceased.
His wife cannot come out publicly and say she was hurt by his appetite for tea and strumpets.

Second roommate was a cop. It is a thing. He took me to the local bar that they (cops) worked security for for second jobs. The cops went there on their time and drank for free.
Drunk cops, free beer, badge bunnies, non cop boyfriends, and husbands are a bad combinaton.
I got to drink for free and meet some strange because I neglected to mention my profession. But the tension made it not worth it. Too many fights. If you win a fight with an off duty cop, you still lose. Even if the cop started it.

I've heard of the story but don't know much and not that interested in it.

Bump/Update
Last I heard was a fourth guy being looked at for screwing this witness?
This has gone from tragic, to now embarrassing for the county. The poor cop thats dead is dead. You can't hurt him anymore. His laundry is all aired. He stepped out on his wife. But he is buried now and will be left be.
But the county has to be scrambling. Looking at putting policies on paper. "Don't frick witnesses MM-Kay" "Don't run trains on women MM-kay" which I assume is what happened with this woman.
