Has anyone actually had their hands up when they were shot by police?

Wrote this in another thread but it applies so I'll copy.

Part of the movement gaining momentum is based around "Hands up don't shoot!". Everyone here may have severe distrust of Obama and Holder but the DOJ report on Ferguson eviscerated that notion.

What they and other Democrats didn't do, or the media outlets in general is to disabuse everyone of this once the report was released. BLM should've been called to the carpet for the false narrative.

If only their hands had been up, we would not all be having these discussions.

NSFW

Many animals and humans being shot....and why again? Breaking the law does not give cops the right to shot at will. If someone is trying to attack a cop, then sure but most of these situations are unwarranted. Then think about all of those that go unfilmed.

I would love to see how you would defend the cops beating up a woman in handcuffs, and the woman was white and the cops are white. How are you pricks gonna spin this?

that would be counter to their interests and their own beliefs, though

Yep.

You don't have to have something affect you directly to realize there is enough abuse in the system to warrant dramatic change. I find the whole discussion to be weird, people who normally claim to dislike strong government defending the agents who enforce it's laws and people who love government disliking agents who carry out it's laws.

I'm wary of government, and the power police have through the CJ system is disturbing. I don't hate cops, I fear government.

I'm glad that cop finally got the courage with the other 2 officers to beat up that thug.

Another tough guy, who loves to live life above the law.

Stupid bitch shouldn't be resisting arrest.

Notice the color of the people here too. We haven't even begun to dig deeper into this problem.

Yep this is the problem. It has been proven that police departments hire people with lower IQ's, as it is easier to be a sheep this way. Plus it has been shown that the P.D. has shown bias to applicants who won't arrest fellow police officers or family members. It has been shown again that even the Judges are corrupt and in cahoots with special interest groups. A sickening example of this is the judge who got kickbacks for sending juveniles to jail (or whatever the equivalent is called). At most levels of gov't, there are plenty examples of corruption, yet some people still find it shocking that others oppose or question what the gov't tells us. The USA is for sale, to the highest bidders.

One time. A friend of mine who is a cop in Shreveport assured me he had rubber bullets in the gun. He let me try on a bullet proof vest of his. He yelled "Hands up" before firing the weapon. Needless to say there was real ammo in that thing. Every day is gravy after that moment.
