I touch my chest (not bounce) every rep. When Ifirst started, I thought I was doing good but only doing partial reps until I realized I couldn't get a full ROM with near as much weight. Worked on form and full range and my strength shot up.

That being said, I never notice anything anyone else is doing in the gym. All I worry about is my lifts and my music.

This. If you're not getting paid or asked for advice from said person, STFU.

ETA - today was leg day for me. Was worried that someone saw me earlier in the week.

Same here. I don't pay attention to anyone else unless they are doing something truly idiotic or acting stupid...thankfully not too much of that at my gym, but there was a TON of it at the URec.

It's difficult to miss certain things.

I never make small chat at the gym unless I have to, but watching guys partial rep incline bench with 225lbs and chains on the barbell is retarded.

I don't know what a partial rep is. But ill probably never bench more than 225 ever again after tearing my pec and bicep.

Guys were going down about halfway, at most, on their bench lifts next to me and earlier today,

I wonder if they partial rep push-ups, and squats?

I'm guessing they do.

Another one of these......

I go 1" off my chest using pretty good form with a nice fluid motion. I do it as the last part of a full ROM kills my rotators. My heavy days are over. I'll go up to 275 for reps in the teens, but that's it.

I wouldn't mention that..

These guys were ~6" from touching their chest.

Touching my chest even with just the bar hurts my surgically repaired shoulder. I stop about an inch above my chest which is actually a tougher rep than bouncing off ur chest. I'll keep doing this with full weight and count it as a completed rep. Thanks.

No. If you don't let the bar touch your chest, you are wrong

That's what I'm talking about.

I don't have TRex arms. If I let the bar touch my chest, my shoulders would be shot.
