Depends, if they want a day off to masturbate, play a round of golf and drink beers, I'd say that's reasonable. If they take the day off and expect people to make a huge deal about their birthday, probably gay.

I try to take the day off to go fishing with some close friends. If there's something wrong with that then I dont wanna be right.

Maybe they have vacation to use. If your me, I work my arse off every other day and want to get drunk and Go to the camp. I'm paid to do it so who gives a frick.

I take off every year for mine, drink beer all day. Some of us have what's called paid vacation, it's a benefit that comes with a good job.

I am given the day off every year for my birthday, or the Monday or Friday before/after. Doesn't count towards our vacation. I'm not going to work when I don't have to.
