Do you politely tell them that they obviously didn't see the express lane sign, or do you dickishly tell them? Serious question.

Any bad experiences from letting someone know?

I think I'ma start calling folks out on this. I go to the grocery almost every day. It's on my way home from the office, and I usually cook based on what I/my wife wants for supper that night. I'm always in the express lane, so I see this on the reg.

No, because they're usually just a handful of items over the limit, and their behavior is way less obnoxious than those morons who hold up the line because they can't get off their cell phones long enough to talk to the cashier.

I do not ... in fact there have been times when I've had more than "the number allowed" and the checker had NO ONE in line and said "I'll get you" ... I'm like "no, I have more than XXX and I don't want to get bitched at by someone who comes behind me" (trying to be nice). One actually told me "I'll handle it if anyone says anything".

Same here, and I always feel like an arse if someone comes behind me.

I don't usually get pissed at other customers, but slow checkers drive me nuts. I usually just get mad at myself for picking the "stupid" line.
Exception: Woman in front of me at Toys R Us just before Christmas who had coupons for every one of her items--only they were on her iPhone and she had to scroll through the whole ad to show each one to the cashier.

I pull out my cock and start jerking. When they freak out and say "You can't do that here!" I say "And you can't do that here either, but obviously the rules are out the window at this point. I'm just following your lead".

(not really)

If I buy 4 6-packs, can I count that like it was 1 case of beer and thus only 1 item?

Do you count out loud or just make it obvious you are counting to yourself?

I like the idea of doing this and loudly counting each item.

I've never said anything. Haven't even considered it. Our grocery store lines are so screwed that it doesn't make a difference. Usually at least 10 minutes in line, sometimes double that.

Go stand uncomfortably close to them, let out a long greasy fart, then just walk away and find an open line on the other end of the store.

Bonus points for maintaining a straight face and eye contact while the fart is being released.

I count aloud as the cashier scans each item.

It doesn't do any good to complain. Especially the Bossier Walmart. That shithole is martial law.

The checker told me they're instructed to ignore it. If they're not going to do anything about it, I'm not going to do their job for them.

Not that big of deal. Their excess items may cost you 60 seconds more wait time. Not worth getting upset over.
