Got the scare of my life today.

My son and mother in law got in a off set head on collision with a 18 wheeler this evening. The aftermath looked awful and they are both damn lucky to have walked away. Son has a cut on his hand and a busted lip from the airbag. The bottomless pit feeling in your stomach when something like this happens to one of your kids is indescribable.

shite, I am freaking out because our power went out so the monitor in my son's room is off. That sounds like a miserable experience. Glad they are OK.

All this. It's killing me I'm stuck at work right now. I just want to hold him til the embarrassment overwhelms him. The wife is a mess and a half right now.

I called him when everything settled down and reminded him that this is what can happen when you lose focus for even a second while driving. The sun was in the MIL's eyes and she veered into the other lane.

She's not really that old at all, 63 I believe.
