I'm not the best golfer and sort of getting into it more this spring/summer. I'm tired of buying and losing pricey golf balls. What are the OT's thoughts on those bags of "refurbished" mixed golf balls you can buy on the cheap? Are they decent enough to play with? To me it seems logical to purchase until I stop having such a big turnover with them but am not sure if they are decent enough to use. Thanks!

Hell as a beginner just steal from driving range.

Maybe switch to a decent ball when putting.

No racing stripes on your balls at the course please.

Just buy some cheap rock flights and be done with it. OP ain't backing shite up anyway.

Sure, depending on what your reasons are for playing golf. If it's just to be outside and relax / hang out with friends, then it's a great deal.

If you have a competitive bone in your body and are trying to get better, then no.

Lostgolfballs.com

I live near there warehouse so I get them without shipping, but they usually have deals which negate shipping costs. Whatever you do, do not buy "refurbished" or "refinished," only "recycled."

Until you're consistent with the way you hit and spin the ball then buy the cheapest ones you can.

As a beginner you probably don't need a really high performance ball until you can learn to control each part of your game.

The following are all good balls in the $20-$25 range:

Noodle Long & Soft
Titleist NXT
Callaway Supersoft
Srixon Soft Feel

You can use harder balls for driving and softer balls when you go into the greens if you are playing casually.
You can even keep a performance ball in your pocket for chipping and putting around the greens.
They do make a difference on being able to spin the ball.

MG golf balls. $19.99/dozen.

Comparable to ProV1's is that's the feel you prefer.

Direct sellers only. Not found in stores.

Ridiculous.

It's like saying you need to spend a lot of money on clubs. Until you can legitimately break 95 on a set of $150 Rams you are wasting money. Same with the balls.

Nike green are cheap and play well.
Srixon green or blue play nice as well.
Both are inexpensive.

Can personally vouch for those. Closest I've felt to a titleist off the face.

As a beginner you're going to be in the woods/water a lot. You'll find more balls than you lose if you look around for a minute.

Free golf balls!!

They play just as well as the others IMO. I use both on the regular and I can't tell a difference.
