When I quit several years ago I found that if I can just get out of the convenient store without buying it then I'm good!

I'm about 2 weeks quit and I'm kicking its arse. What I did, not on purpose, was quit during the most stressful time and the times I typically dipped the most.

Work sucked, playing sports with friends who dip, fishing, drinking, colicky baby, etc.

If you can make it through all that shite without a dip, you can make it through anything. Get a mint, bite it in half stick it in your lip and suck on it.

You'll feel a lot better.

It's like the dippers are the backwoods redneck characters for the most part that are unclean and uneducated. Who wants to emulate them by spitting tobacco everywhere??

I did meth, cut it crack, cut that to cocaine, cut that to weed and then cigs before I finally started dipping. I started dipping coffee grinds (used) to stop that.

We used to have to run if we fell asleep in college football meetings, the room was cold and dark, I was struggling. I first tried to hold my hands in the air over my nuts so when you doze off you drop your hands and ht your balls. It did not work well. I was then introduced to smokless tobacco by a Sr. You tilt your head back and have some juice run down your throat you wake up real quick.

Quit 10 years later.

I quit in January and its held except for one cheat. I enjoyed reading the quit stories on Kill the Can in my first couple of weeks of my quit. I never joined but i did find the site valuable.

I don't understand how someone can even get started dipping. First it is one of the most nasty unsanitary ahit ever that it takes a certain breed to even think about doing it.

That is what I used.

Don't use nicotine (gum or pouches) cause it won't kill the cravings.

Artificial dip sucks. Use a sauna the first few days to get the nicotine out of your system.

I'm going thru the same thing right now. Been 3 weeks for me.

I've been using Smokey Mountain or BAC-OFF and haven't had a dip in 23 days

I had to drive down to Pearland to get it here in Houston.

But I read on their website that all Tobacco Plus stores in Louisiana sell it

And when I make a trip back home I stop at a Tobacco Plus and they have a variety of Smokey Mountain and other non-nicotine/tobacco dipping aid products

Cool. Just searched to see if BR has any and they don't but Lafayette and Opelousas does so I'll stop by next time I'm in the area

How expensive is the stuff?

cheap. I think a can a piece is somewhere between 2-3 bucks.

It's nothing but glycerin and mint.

But hey it really works for me. Same texture. Gives you a lil tingle when you first put a plug in. Makes your breath smell good too
