Going to the DMV tommorow. Not sure which one ??

Drivers license expired last week. I am 5 days out of a "legal" license. I can't do it online since I have not received an official notice.
Which DMV location should I go to :
Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles
Express OMV
Lobdell Auto Title
ETA: why do people HATE the DMV
Also, I have cash and insurance. Only problem is misplaced my insurance papers. Do I need to try and print some out.

Express DMV is the only correct answer

First thing is to call the express on Perkins. They will tell you if they can do what you need. If they can't, drive to Port Allen.

I've gone to the express one to renew my license twice. It's the only way to go. It's a breeze.

Express opens at 8, but sometimes it takes longer if you go early because a lot of people show up and wait outside for it to open. If you can wait till 9 sometimes you can get in with no wait.

OMV Express at the corner of Seigen and Perkins is one of the best kept secrets in Baton Rouge.

Don't overthink it. Just go to the independence Blvd location. They have an efficient system there. Even when it's somewhat crowded you'll be in and out in less than an hour. If you go early you'll be in and out in no time.

Sometimes the dmv isnt so bad. But for the most part, I sit and wonder why all these people have their fricking children running around in there on a school day.
Plus people will hold you up with their own issues. Not everyone is there just to renew a drivers license and be done with it.
I would call them before you go. You should be able to go to the express dmv just to renew, but i went one time and they sent me to the main one. That was miserable.

So most everyone is saying go to Express... it's quick and easy. But, hey go to the DMV where you have to wait an hour with the dregs of society. Good advice.

I go to the express and I pay the extra money to get in the privileged line so I get out of there faster than the poors.
