His real problem is he doesn't trust her and isn't man enough to admit it. This relationship is over, but he must have money or she must have low self-esteem, but one of them is definitely "stuck" with the other for some reason.

Among 1%ers, these are known as Hot Walkers, gay guys who squire around society women to bullshite functions their husbands don't care anything about. Some for pay, some just to score free symphony tickets or whatever. You have that service for free. Consider yourself fortunate she has a guy to go shopping and all the other crap you hate.
