Getting a Speeding Ticket Off Your Record

Got a speeding ticket recently from the awesome state police who have nothing better to do that hide behind walls and jump out in front of vehicles going over the speed limit. I don't my paying it because it's not much but what options do you have to get it off your record? I heard they offer online classes now but don't have any details on it. Has anyone done this recently?

If it's your first ticket or first ticket in a long time, you can take a class to keep it off your record. Be prepared for a 6-8 hour class that makes you feel like you just lost 5 years of your life.

Speeders are pieces of shite.
Thought I would get that out of the way

yes they do, and he should have told you the number. EBR sheriff told me how to keep it off my record.

Put on a button down shirt, tie and slacks. Comb your hair and ask the DA at the arraignment like a normal person.

Some DA's have a diversion program where you pay the fine and they don't enter it into your record if you don't get another ticket in a prescribed period of time. Sometimes you have to take a class, sometimes not. Call and ask.

If you are a large breasted blonde, it's easy.

I have always just called, told them what I wanted, and sent in a check. As long as the money comes in, they DGAF.
If you think you have a traffic record here, you don't. Louisiana does not keep track of tickets. The only advantage is for insurance

Call and ask them to reduce to non-moving. They just want your money.

Are you trying to dress him like an accountant?

What parish? Each court has a different set of rules. Don't just go pay the ticket. Show up on your court date and ask to talk to the D.A. If this is not possible, plead NOT guilty and get a trial date. On that day you can pre-try the case with the D.A. If they won't dismiss it they should at least let you plead to a non-moving violation such as a brake tag. If not, ask to plead under C.C.P. 894. This will keep it off your driving record.

False, I got a background check for a job and a previous speeding ticket showed up on the report even though I took the class
eta: the ticket was in baton rouge

I can guarantee you that I have more tickets than you, and they don't show up on any record available to any company or even LSP background checks.
Ticket-related bench warrants aren't even on my record
