I have this full-size poster print I found today under a desk that I'd forgotten about. The box was wedged up under a shelf and I was moving the desk and pulled it out when I spotted it. A girlfriend purchased it in 1997 and gave it to me as a gift. It's numbered #179/1500 and has Rodrigue's signature (he supposedly only signs the first 600 prints) on the lower left under the print.

Any idea of it's value? Trying to decide if it's worth spending good dollars for it to be framed decently.

Found this pic on the 'net. Looks just like this except the colors aren't as muted as the image here.

Less than in the early 1990s.

if it's screen printed it's worth something, if it's ink jet printed it's not worth much.

frame it up. Usually wort at least a few hundred bucks. Would need someone who really knew rodrigue to know for sure as some are valued in the thousands even for the screen printed tuff.

That's worth more than a few hundred. His work went up after his death. I would be sure to hold on to that one.

That is from 1997, he did 3 posters for the red river revel, that's the first one. If it's signed and in mint condition it is probably worth around $1000

I really don't get the appeal of the blue dog stuff.

It's been out of the box twice now, just to see what it is. Once in '97 and today. Exceptionally heavy linen paper, not the usual thin poster paper from art prints (not talking $5 posters type). As far as I can tell it's mint and yes, signed and numbered.

I really don't understand how a worth is put on art. Some shite looks like a 5 yr old splattered a bunch of paint on a canvas and it just so happens to be worth thousands or even millions. It baffles me

Hubba B I would be interested in this screen print if you decide you don't want to spend the cash on framing it.

Especially with both the blue dog and Tiffany the original dog on same piece....2 dogs worth more $$ than 1 dog

Spend the $$ on having it framed by a pro...

I'm not up to date on the Rodrigue paintings but I know prices have gone up since his death. If you post a picture of what you have I have a guy (actually a "lady") that has dealt in Rodrigue and could probably give an accurate estimate.

You must have missed my post months ago where I posted 10 different pics of abstract art done by children, a chimp, and the "masters of abstract art" and asked posters to choose which ones were done by whom.

It was a clusterfrick.

I have a copy of Aioli Dinner first printing, signed and numbered front and back but unframed and slightly damaged, mostly on the edges. It was found in an attic in New Iberia. Anyone think it might be worth restoring ?

I have one of his last prints before he passed I think. It is signed. Give me a sec and I will post it.

If think they are worth framing for sure
