Interesting choice since slavery last longer under that flag than the CSA's flag, including 8 months AFTER Appomattox.

Well, the KKK marched with confederate flags, so they must be racist. Oh, wait...

A water features are offensive to anyone who's been water boarded, lost a love one in a boat, and to slaves who were transported here over the ocean.

Mitch has a record of lying about the details on this topic. There will be no water feature. He will stick a 30 foot diameter Afro on top of that thing.

Landrieu said the last option -- focused on a fountain -- is what he sees as the best choice. "It represents Katrina," he said. "It represents water as a life-giving force. It represents light. It represents aspiration and creates something that's worthy of Paris and worthy of New Orleans." But, he said, that will cost money, possibly $10 million to $15 million. "Where are we going to get the money from?" Landrieu said. "Maybe we can put some public money up if everybody doesn't yell and scream about 'You ought to be filling potholes with that money.'

The sheer hubris that it took to make a statement like this is pretty much confirmation that this a-hole has completely lost it.

Meanwhile, a U.S. flag will be placed at the site where the statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis stood until it was removed last week, the city said

US Flag?

Symbol of slavery and the destruction of Native American culture and the chemical warfare in Vietnam and Korea and the Nuclear bomb in Japan and the withheld rights from women and Irish and Italian and Bastards and blacks and Asians and Mexicans and retards and gays and on and on and on. Champion symbol for white land owning males from the upperclass.

What a repressive symbol of hatred and villainy. I know this cannot stand for long. Mitch will tear it down

he literally cannot become more of a complete fricking a-hole. Yet each and everyday he rewrites the definition.

Someone needs to erect an ugly mug monument with Landrieu's head on top and a large gaudy LED-lit sign that say's "world's largest a-hole"

This isn't real, right? This CANNOT be a real quote, right?

Please for the love of Christ tell me that's satire and our Mayor didn't actually say that.

Probably a monument to the tears of all the confederate sympathizers who are butthurt about their precious statues
