How many times has it even entered the discussion as to whether its detrimental to the development of the children. It seems the dysfunctional, often broken state of the modern "traditional" family leads most people to have a "well, whats worse" attitude instead of "whats best", which seems like a slippery slope

Great post. Definitely agree with this. Every statistic shows you how important it is to have a married mother and father in the home, yet people just always default to they could be bouncing around in foster care.

Given the amount of single unwed mothers, it makes more sense to compare it to them.

Also, given gay couples' propensity for adopting shoe enthusiast babies, perhaps would should only compare them to the urbanites as well?

Might as well compare it to both scenarios. Top scenario of Mother/Father home and single parent home.

Well the trend seems strongly toward surrogacy using different methods. This obviously the only way to give same sex couples genetic legacy of some sort and a stronger claim as a natural family. So I'd expect it to continue and become the norm. So these children are being created in many cases. Not being rescued from a life of neglect

How hard is it for people to respond neutrally to irrelevant questions like this? Simply, "that has nothing to do with our brand and the products we sell, so we do not wish to comment."

You think this is an irrelevant question? This is a gay couple who are icons in a very gay industry who've chosen not to have children because of their views. I think their opinion is entirely relevant. its a very popular trend and probably even seen as a responsibility to the gay rights cause by many gays. And theyre calling it a "fad"

Its also worth noting that where that are from is grand central station for Catholicism

That's not what I meant. Of course their opinion is relevant, but in this age of outrage, it's a poor business decision to publicize it.

Yeah but their dad was also Elton fricking John so I think they'll get over it and count their money.

Money can't buy you love. I feel for anyone who loses their parents at an early age, whatever the circumstances.

There may be many more unforeseen issues come about from children growing up in a same-sex marriage couple as guardians situation. Especially if they were test-tube conceived.
