That's the problem. It won't. People generally wouldn't give a damn if it was really needed to right the ship.

However we've all been down this road...

"The lottery will save the schools..."

"The toll is just to pay for the bridge..."

. It was the idiotic previous administrations that did these things.

Suck a huge tax paying Dick. There was a master plan 25 years ago with that gas tax increase. All our troubles were supposed to be fixed back then. Nothing happened.

This is a never ending cycle of lies and abuse by the state govt at all levels as they literally steal from the tax payers. frick you and every other SOB who tries to defend or justify this theft.

This ignorance is why Louisiana sits at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to infrastructure. DOTD has been slashed to the bone over the past decade. I

frick you you govt tit sucking bitch. We pay nearly 50% in combined taxes. Nothing in this shite hole state ever changes. We get fleeced, the state pisses away the money and idiots like you keep supporting more taxes. Your ignorance and support of more taxes "dedicated" or not is why this shite hole keeps getting deeper and won't change. You simply refuse to put a stop to it

Usually $20-40 per month, paid by my company. I could easily cut that in half if I only took toll roads when I really needed to. I use the new toll lanes when traffic is really heavy in the free lanes. At those times, the tolls run up to $4+ each but it shaves off lots of time and frustration.

Why are people blaming JBE when this is a Republican authored and backed bill?

With this vote, these "Republicans" just stated that there is no where else in the $29 bil budget, that can be cut- whether by Constitution convention or straight cuts that can provide the revenues needed for our infrastructure.

I call bull shite!

He's been crowing about the gas tax all along, blue ribbon panels to evaluate the need, etc. and he's the mofo that will gladly sign it into law.

I enjoyed the study that was released in early Arpil that stated how dangerous the roads here are. "our infrastructure is crumbling, children will die, we need to act now...."
