Garth Brooks Seating

Our group had 4 tickets together. We got in our seats no issues. Two people in our group went to use the bathroom and get drinks.
Right at that time a group of 8 or so come and sit in their seats next to us. Two of them were over 350. They couldn’t fit in their assigned 8 seats and took up two of our seats.
I told the gentleman to please move down because they were sitting in two of our seats. His wife says that they had 1-8 and pulls out her phone to show me. I pull out my phone and show her my tickets (9-12) and tell her to look down at the seat numbers. They were sitting in 9 and 10.
The guy tells me sorry he’s just got a big arse and that we’re gonna just have to squeeze. I told him no either move down or go somewhere else. Then everyone around us starts getting mad at me and defending the fatties like I’m in the wrong. I’m ready to throw hands at this point.
Long story short I’m told to calm down and the fatties never budge and took up 2 of our seats during the entire concert.
Sorry for the vent session. I’m still upset about it. If you’re that big and let yourself go can you please buy additional seating to give yourself the extra room that is required?

The seats are small as shite. Our group was avg sized and had issues not overflowing at least some

I’d have been fricking furious. I’m sorry if I don’t have sympathy for walruses. Walruses should not be allowed at normal people sized venues.

That happened on the row right in front us as well. A bunch of commotion when the last couple comes to sit and can't fit. They get the landmark guy to come check tickets and everyone has a ticket. Then it became awkwardly apparent that a fan about 15 seats down was 400lbs, completely taking two seats. But then the big chick's friend next to her suddenly stands up and remains standing the whole show so people can squeeze in.

If they were sitting on the wrong number they were in the wrong and should have been forced to leave. Doesn’t matter how fat you are you can’t sit in the wrong number

We had similar issues with two chics that came late. Seats are like 14 inches wide. They had their full space available. Chic was telling me to move over. Showed her my skinny arse was squared up on my number and i had no place to go. Told her sorry i didn’t design seating.
I wanted to tell her, if her and her friends asses weren’t taking up three seats apiece they could easily fit.

Look, guys. Garthstock was supposed to be a festival of peace and love. For one 90 minute concert, with overpriced concessions, we were all supposed to come together in harmony.

Yeah if they were overflowing a little into 9. I’d say suck it up buttercup.
But if they had 1-8, and were in 9&10, you have to move. Wild stance saying I guess we’re just going to have to squeeze

Large people should be forced to get a second seat, everywhere.

ALWAYS protect your outside seats in a group. Leave at least two people at all times. If you just hold those seats like you own them extra width almost always shifts the other direction.
